Based out of Orange County in Southern California I specialise in all types of product photography. Coming out of the pandemic, the push to e-commerce has really gained immense pace, so if you are looking to sell something via the internet the importance of good product photography is paramount. I am based in Huntington Beach and can service all surrounding areas including Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Long Beach.

I have been shooting photography professionally for over twenty years. My first experiences were in my native town of London UK where I was a music journalist and hence specialised in music photography working for the likes of the NME, Muzik, dotmusic and Music Week. As a committed music nut I am in my element in the photo pit and like to think my photography will take you right into the action.

My experience soon developed and I began to specialise more in product photography, largely in the high end interiors, antiques and art world. In this sector the importance of high quality photos is perhaps the most important factor in converting a sale. If a client cannot see or touch the item in person they are relying on the quality of the image to sell the item, hence the photos have to be well composed, bright, in focus and really pop. With high value goods it’s also important to have numerous photos from all different angles and close ups of any distinguishing features. One big advantage of the way I work is I can take a lot of photos in a day so you get a good return on your investment.

I work using a Nikon Z7 which is an astounding camera with 4K video and 48 million mega pixels. I use two external flashes mounted on tripods with the light diffused by umbrellas to take of the harsh light that raw flash can sometimes provide. The results are great ensuring the photos are very bright, well defined and sharp. I can work out of a studio or onsite bringing all necessary props and backgrounds.
